| Smokey,
you have lived up to your name in more
ways than one. First you "smoke"
on the music scene, now you're "smoking"
in the kitchen! I love the gumbo and the
red beans and rice! They're my new fast
food. Quick, easy, delicious and low in
calories and fat! I've told all my family
and friends about it. I could do a commercial!

Saw
the Smokey Robinson products in the market
and thought I'd give 'em a shot. Can't
go wrong with ol' Smokey! I was quite
surprised at how good they were, as a
matter of fact. I pride myself on being
a connoisseur of southern, soul and New
Orleans cuisine... and truthfully, these
meals didn't taste as if they came from
a pre-made, frozen source. The spices
and ingredients are right-on! They are
definitely a nice treat for me, because
even though I do cook most of my food,
certain ingredients (such as fresh seafood
and Andouille sausage) aren't readily
available where I live. Three cheers for
this stuff, for sure!

Smokey,
I was disappointed to find out that the
Church and Music program and contest is
open only to those who live in Michigan
and Ohio. Churches in West Virginia have
music programs also. Still waiting for
your food line to hit the local Kroger
Grocery store in Morgantown.

Dear
Mr. Robinson,
I'm your biggest, youngest fan and I love
your music. I was introduced to Motown
by my grandparents when I was 7 years
old and has been hooked ever since. I
hope to meet you someday and hope you
make a stop in Chicago, IL. For some reason,
some people like to call me wise since
I'm only 14 years old and I listen to
your music. Oh well, I can't wait to try
your food!!!! Brit C.

Detroit, how can you over look us so much,)
We deserve something from you. How about
letting us in on the goodies for a change.
The present of you or your foods would
be great! You know we fans here are "Swept

| Please
consider making Crawfish E'toufee. I understand
it freezes well. I am convinced it would
be a top seller for you. I keep at least
half a dozen packages of seafood gumbo
and red beans and rice in my freezer at
all times. Thanks so much for your consideration.
Sincerely, Bob

| I
was disappointed that Smokey didn't perform
@ the Super Bowl; also, I wish Food Lion
or Harris Teeter would carry Smokey's
foods. I wish I could try the seafood
and the pot roast. Happy Belated Birthday,
Smokey! |

| Just
wanted to tell you how much I enjoyed
your Red Beans and Rice and Seafood Gumbo
I got at Safeway - I'm looking for other
products too. |
 |
| Smokey,
glad to see your increasing product line...but
I'm waiting for you to incorporate a vegetarian
cuisine:) And... my heart is breaking
since I relocated to the Dallas area a
year and a half ago from the east coast
where I was able to see you often in the
PA. and NJ areas, to now not at all. I'm
hopeful you will eventually book a show
in the Dallas area, but if not... send
for me:) If you remember, I hope the cross
I put in you hand continues to bless you!...and
Happy Birthday yet to come. |
 |
| I
just wanted to tell you that I've been
eyeing your Red Beans and Rice and Gumbo
at the Jewel grocery store near us, but
it was more expensive than the other frozen
dinners, so I never got it. This time
I caught it on sale, so I got one of each.
I just ate the Red Beans and Rice and
scraped the bowl! It was very delicious
like I figured. I had to let you know,
because this will become a part of my
list for lunches to buy for work. I haven't
tried the gumbo yet, but I'm sure it will
be just as good. I had to let you know
that this was a thumbs up!!! |

Hi
Smokey,
Thank you for the xmas message. I just
read it.
The last time I saw you was in New Orleans
(my home) at the JazzFest in 2004. Before
that was at Bed Bath and Beyond the night
before Thanksgiving in Las Vegas 2003,
you gave me and my daughter Jessica, your
autograph. I did buy your red beans and
gumbo and they both have good flavor,
but one thing I would like to suggest,
and that is, no tomatoes in the red beans.
I hope you don't mind my saying that.
I would like you to be successful with
your product everywhere, including Louisiana.
Take care of yourself.
Sheila |

| Yummy!
That is some deee-licious gumbo. Better
than what the tourist traps sell in New
Orleans. (The best gumbo in New Orleans
comes from a third generation (grandparent)
Black person from New Orleans. (I lived
there for 9 years and the best part is
the food !!) (And yes, I'm a Black person.) |
 |
| I
just wanted to let you know that your
seafood gumbo is the best thing EVER!
Man, I've seen it for a while so I decided
to give it a try and bought two. Man,
I ate both of those in 15-20 minutes and
went BACK to the Safeway to buy eight
more! Keep up the EXCELLENT work! Russell,
Maryland |
