Arnott's have been baking for Australians for 150 years. And interestingly enough Arnott's make 4 different types of the same biscuit. The four varieties date back to 1906 and were originally baked by different companies across the country. They are all made now in the one factory which is in New South Wales. Resourcing4U are supplying you with the Ginger Nut biscuits that are made for the State of Queensland. These are "Thin, sweet and darker in colour - more like a gingerbread-style biscuit". Still with a great crunch and still great for dunking in an Aussie Cup of Tea. The thickest and hardest ginger nut is made for the State of NSW/ACT. In Victoria and Tasmania, ginger nuts are bigger, softer and sweeter, and "closest to traditional ginger nuts from overseas". The South Australian/West Australian/Northern Territory version look like its Victorian counterpart but is sweeter. So, if you have ever been to Australia and have bought a packet of Ginger Nut biscuits and thought they were just not the same the chances are you bought or had a packet of biscuits that were made in a different state.
