Wild mushrooms are very sensitive to the environment. Wild mushrooms need clean air, four seasons, rainy summers, few if any people around and lots of old growth forests for thousands of miles. We work the Himalayan mountain range from east to west and we process dried, flash frozen and canned mushrooms at our facility in Yunnan province. We also harvest mushrooms from Eastern Europe and the Pacific Northwest. We work very closely with local suppliers and get the fresh wild mushrooms in small batches daily. Whether we are collecting porcini, morels or chanterelles our detail to work is evident in our results. Our workmanship is all done by hand. You can only get this type of finished product when a person touches them, inspects them, trims and packs them. Our dried wild mushrooms are all processed in our own facilities, also all of our flash frozen wild mushrooms are done in our new flash freezing tunnel with the highest technical aspect available today. New Tiger International Inc., the parent company for Mushroom House and Havista started its mushroom importing business 18 years ago. It was the first US Company bringing Asian shiitake mushroom into the US from China, Japan and Korea. Now, New Tiger International has expanded its products line greatly. It carries dried, frozen, fresh and canned mushrooms, which includes porcini (dried and frozen), truffles (fresh, dried, frozen and canned), chanterelle (dried and frozen), morels (dried and frozen) and dried trumpets, lobsters, oysters, shimaji, maitake, matsutake, namako, wood ear, shiitake and many more. Where we get our mushrooms there are no heavy industries, few people, fewer vehicles on the road (when you can find one). Many of the places we get our wild mushrooms are so isolated there's not even a chance to export them fresh. We can only do dried, flash frozen and canned. Here the old growth forests just keep going on and on and on for thousands of miles and crossing many boarders and countries.
