All-u-Lose are the calories! Available individually, Variety 4 Packs and in 6 Packs. This ultra-low calorie natural sweetener is great for beverages, cooking and baking. Allulose is absorbed by the body but not metabolized; it suppresses the amount of sugar after a meal by reducing glucose transport to blood. Although 70-84% of the allulose you consume is absorbed into your blood from your digestive tract, it is eliminated without being used as fuel. Like glucose and fructose, allulose is a monosaccharide, or single sugar. In contrast, table sugar, also known as sucrose, is a disaccharide made of glucose and fructose joined together. Consumed in moderation, it's been shown to resist fermentation by your gut bacteria, minimizing the likelihood of bloating, gas or other digestive problems. However, as with any food, individual sensitives are always a possibility. For people who have diabetes or are watching their blood sugar - it does not raise blood sugar or insulin levels. Allulose also provides only 0.2-0.4 calories per gram, or about 1/10 the calories of table sugar. Allulose is about 70% as sweet as sugar, which is similar to the sweetness of erythritol. Allulose had more benefits than erythritol. In studies, less belly fat was gained with allulose. In another study, a high-sugar diet with either 5% cellulose fiber or 5% allulose. The allulose group burned significantly more calories and fat overnight, and gained far less fat. Allulose is a natural sweetener and, similar to honey, can crystallize. You can de-crystallize by warming in the microwave for 30 seconds. We recommend, removing the cap and seal and microwave at 50% power. Repeat process if necessary.
