It started one cold winter evening, after having stumbled upon a recipe of traditional Kashmiri Saffron tea. Saffron has been cultivated in Kashmir for hundreds of years. The climate of the pristine valley also known as the 'Switzerland of the East' is ideal for its growth and cultivation. During the course of our journey we traveled from store to store - yet could not find a reputable source of this elusive spice. It has been extremely difficult for local Kashmir farmers to export Saffron for a number of reasons including the lack of infrastructure, the political situation and recurring floods of 2014 & 2015. We work directly with a family farm in Kashmir and are pleased to introduce authentic Kashmiri Saffron comprised of the finest red strands only. Our goal is to introduce this special quality Saffron to you - while supporting the growth of local Kashmir Farmers.
