Many people don't know that Comte is also called "Comte Gruyere" or, Gruyere from Comte. Why? Because, it IS gruyere, only made in France, and hence called Comte. A firm cow's milk cheese, very aromatic and milky, with hints of fruits, nuts and caramel. Made in the Jura Mountains of the French Alps, it's a classic Alpine cheese, high in fat and buttery on the tongue, with a long finish. Pair with a Jura Wine like Poulsard (if you can find it!), or with a smooth red wine.Product Size: 8 oz (cut portion).
